TM and glossary for all languages
With Gate 66, you can work with your own translation memory. The latter makes translation faster and cheaper by enabling you to store and reuse texts that have already been translated. Every available translation into a foreign language is saved into the database once the translation is complete. And this feature can prove very useful given that brochures, catalogues and instruction manuals are often adaptations and/or updates of existing works. In fact, up to 60% of the „new“ text is often copied from a previous version.
Remastering means producing a new version of an existing brochure or catalogue. Using this optional function, you can automatically recall and insert existing translated text in all languages in the new version. That saves you a lot of time and money.
A glossary helps to always find the right word or expression. And it ensures that words that are to be excluded from a translation are automatically marked. A glossary is the linguistic knowledge of a company. It can be maintained by all authorized users worldwide, via the Internet.
